Look What's in the Mental Newspaper
Found: one Muse, buried beneath exam papers. Rusty from lack of use. Tends to start up and shut off erratically. Otherwise, seems to be in top-notch condition. Contact ASAP if this Muse belongs to you.
For those of you to whom that made no sense, what I'm pretty much saying is that I got my inspiration back! Willikers! I have a feeling that it was lost sometime during the middle of 9th grade, when stress galore basically shoved everything else in my mind--including creativity--to the back. However, hours upon summer hours spent listening to music, reading Harry Potter, watching Disney movies, and listening to my dad talking about how a few of our ancestors were mysteriously not from Prussia...well, this combo seems to have done it: my creativity has returned.
Of course it had to come in the form of bad poetry, which I might print out if only to burn, but that's all behind us now. Which means (God, it feels good to say this) that I will soon begin another story. And of course this story will probably have a rough start, meaning that of course I'll be posting bits up here once in a while, making some unfortunate souls my beta readers. So obviously, if you're one of those people who doesn't like my fiction, or just doesn't like fiction at all (WTF?!), then watch out here for posts written in the third person.
I suppose I will close with the part that nobody really wants to read--my take on the new Harry P. I'll just make this short:
1. Unlike a lot of people, I loved the epilogue. I'm a sucker for those kinds of scenes, no matter how much I pretend to hate them in public.
2. I really want to give a mental hug to Severus Snape. Seriously, I think someone should set up an Internet counter that catalogs readers' Snape Hugs, so that I could register mine.
3. The part I'll be reading again and again because it's too damn short, but I love it (seems like every good book has at least one of these): the segment with Potterwatch.
Goodbye now!
